Care Guide
Alocasia Zebrina Mojito enjoys similar care to other Alocasias and thrives when given warmth, humidity and bright light.
Light
Place your Alocasia Zebrina Mojito in bright, indirect light. A spot near a window with filtered light is ideal. Too little light can reduce the variegation and slow growth, while strong direct sun may scorch the leaves.
Watering
Keep the soil lightly moist but not soggy. Water when the top 2–3cm of soil feels dry. Alocasias dislike sitting in water, so always allow excess water to drain away.
Humidity
This plant loves higher humidity and will do best in a warm room with moderate to high humidity. Aim for at least 60% humidity if possible. It is ideal for a bathroom, kitchen or near a humidifier.
Temperature
Keep between 18–27°C. Avoid cold draughts and temperatures below 15°C.
Soil
Use a loose, well-draining houseplant mix. A blend containing peat-free compost, bark, perlite and a little coco coir works particularly well.
Feeding
Feed every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced houseplant fertiliser to encourage healthy new growth.
Dormancy
Like many Alocasias, the Alocasia Zebrina Mojito may slow down or lose a leaf during winter. This is normal. Reduce watering slightly and growth should resume in spring.
Pet Safety
Please note that Alocasia Zebrina Mojito is toxic if eaten and should be kept out of reach of pets and children.
